Our Story

Our story begins in 1975 when Dr. Kenneth Gibbs opened our practice as a solo practitioner in the small, picturesque coastal town of New Bern, NC. He began his career and practice with a lean staff of four people. Over time, by providing high level dental therapies and top shelf customer service, his practice grew to become a leading practice in Coastal North Carolina.

In 2011, Drs. Meridith and Breck Gibbs joined the practice and brought new energy, new technology and techniques to the practice. Gibbs Dentistry now employs approximately 20 staff personnel. The Doctors Gibbs have worked hard to continue to grow their practice, maintain high level dental treatment and excellent customer service.

What Sets Us Apart

Expert Doctors

All doctors have obtained post graduate training in comprehensive restorative care, implant dentistry and occlusion related disease. This additional training allows our doctors to provide sound clinical judgement to help the patient navigate difficult dental treatment options.

Our Team

Our number one focus is to ensure your experience is a pleasant one. In addition to required on-going certification, our staff is trained in patient education which includes: why you may need a specific procedure, and what to expect before, during and after the procedure. We are careful to explain exactly what may happen should a patient choose not to complete prescribed treatments.
