Meet the Doctors
Dr. Breck Gibbs
Dr. Breck Gibbs is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He completed a general practice residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, NC. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the NC Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Team of Implantology. His clinical focus is geared towards implant dentistry, endodontic therapies, and advanced restorative procedures.
He enjoys spending his free time with his family, on the golf course, and on the water. He and his wife have twin children, Maddox and Bates, and a yellow lab, Nelly.

Dr. Meridith Gibbs
Dr. Meridith Gibbs, an Eastern Kentucky native, grew up in her father’s dental office. Always spending her summers working for her father as an assistant, and having a love for science and medicine, dentistry seemed like the natural choice. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, where she earned a BS in Biology. Dr. Meridith continued her dental school training at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, and participated in a General Practice Residency at the University of Louisville. In 2010, Dr. Meridith and Dr. Breck married, lived, and worked in Asheville, NC where Dr. Meridith provided dental care for underserved children. She is a member of American Dental Association, NC Dental Society, American Association of Women Dentists and the International Team of Implantology.
Dr. Meridith truly enjoys the beauty of Eastern NC and now calls it home. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their son, Bates and daughter Maddox. In her free time she enjoys running with her dog Nelly, being on the water, playing tennis, and reading.

Dr. Kenneth Gibbs
Dr. Kenneth Gibbs is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, NC Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Society for the Preservation of Oral Health, and is a founding member of the Dental Implant Associates of NC.
Ken is married to the former Duffy Beasley, and they have two sons, Wood and Breck, and four grandchildren. Anyone who knows Ken, knows he enjoys family and of course, golf, especially when he plays with his third son, Skye (black lab).

Meet Your Dental Hygenists
Melissa Williams
Melissa was born and raised in New Bern and began visiting Gibbs Dentistry, as a patient, at the age of 3. In 2008, she started her dental career at Gibbs Dentistry as a dental assistant. She continued her education and completed her dental hygiene degree in 2018. She enjoys spending time with her patients while providing individual oral care and education. When she is away from work she and her husband, Ricky, enjoy their sweet dogs “Maggie” and “Allie,” traveling, boating, and hanging out with friends and family.
Ashley Mares
Ashley is married to her high school sweet heart, Michael. They have a 100 lb. Rescue pup named, Smitty and two children, Jaxon and Olivia. Ashley enjoys staying on the go with her family and friends. She actively attends New Life Church in New Bern and has been in the dental field for 10 years.
Marie Wise
Marie is married to Bruce and they share a lot of love and quality time with family, including 5 grandchildren. She enjoys a good book and working in her flower garden. Marie is a New Bern native and has been a valuable asset and mentor to our entire practice for many years.
Lonni Beth Price
Lonni Beth began working as a dental assistant at Gibbs Dentistry. Now, she is enjoying her dream job as a hygienist. LB loves spending time with her husband Graham, and two boys, Levi and JohnDavid.
Carol Ackner
Carol is originally from upstate New York. She and her husband Chad moved to New Bern, NC in 2016 and she has been with Gibbs Dentistry since 2022. Carol and her husband have two grown sons, Tyler and Gavin, three dogs and a cat. They love getting out on their boat as much as possible, working in the yard and doing DIY home improvement projects. Carol has enjoyed practicing dental hygiene for over 30 years.

Terry Rolison
Terry has been married to the same man, Milton, for 44 years! She is a great cook, enjoys gardening and spending quality time with her three grandchildren. Terry actively attends Pollocksville Baptist Church and has been in the dental field for 32 years.
Courtney Hart
Courtney has been in dentistry since 1987. She came to Gibbs Dentistry in 1994. She and her husband, Alan, have three wonderful children and two amazing grandsons. They enjoy boating, going to the beach, spending time with their family, their dog, Tucker and granddogs Lacey and Odin.
Brandy Morris
Brandy has been in the dental field since 2007. She has been with Gibbs Dentistry since 2013. Brandy has a son and daughter. She enjoys the beach and spending time with her children and friends.
Taylor Veneziano
Taylor was born and raised in Ernul NC, a small rural town in Eastern NC. She was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate which is what led her heart to dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys time with family and friends!
Dee Dee Carson
Dee Dee has been in dentistry for 25 years. She is a graduate of Coastal Carolina Community College in the Dental Assisting Program. She and her husband Joe have two daughters. They love cooking, church, traveling, and gardening.
Sarah Mauney
Sarah was born in Paducah, KY, but moved to New Bern 22 years ago while serving as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy. She is married with two teenage children. She enjoys floating in her pool, reading, and sharing her culinary skills on social media.

Tracy Watkins
Office Manager
Tracy is originally from Indiana and moved to New Bern in 1986. She has enjoyed working in healthcare for the past 30+ years. Tracy has two handsome grandsons and a beautiful granddaughter. She loves the beach, listening to audiobooks, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Amie Walston
Insurance Coordinator
Amie Walston is a New Bern native and she started working with Gibbs Dentistry in 2020. Amie attended East Carolina University where she earned her degree in Business Administration. While at ECU, she met her husband, Paul. They just welcomed a precious baby girl into their family and in their free time they enjoy spending time at the beach or at home with their black lab named Luke and cat Lucky.
Hannah Roupp
Billing Coordinator
Hannah and her husband, Chase were born and raised near Tarboro, NC, but moved to the area in 2022. She attended ECU where she graduated with a major in Public Health. Hannah has been with Gibbs Dentistry since August of 2020 and Chase works for New Bern Fire-Rescue. They welcomed their baby girl, Payton, into the world in October of 2022. She enjoys family time, fall weather and cuddling with her golden retriever, Ember.

Grayson was born and raised in Ayden, NC. She has worked in the dental field since 2020. Grayson has two dogs. A Lab named Murphy and a Goldendoodle named Millie. She enjoys spending time with her family, her friends and and her dogs.
Sydnee Bartholomew
Sydnee was born and raised in New Bern, NC and has been with Gibbs Dentistry since 2022. She has been working in healthcare since 2019 and is currently attending Craven Community College for Medical Office Administration. Outside of the office, she enjoys teaching dance at Carolina Dance Alliance and spending time with her friends and family.
Holly Schutta
Holly was born and raised in New Bern, NC. She has been with Gibbs Dentistry since 2023. She is married to a wonderful man, Doug and they have two beautiful, spicy boys together. Holly has owned an online fashion boutique based here in New Bern since 2020. Outside of being a fashionista, you can find Holly and her boys out on the boat, at the beach with her family and friends or on the sidelines of a baseball field.
Meet Our Therapy Dogs
Dog-tors Skye and Nelly Gibbs join us daily as therapy dogs. Their work for us and patients is pro-bone-o. Come see them in the back for some sloppy kisses and belly rubs, but bring a treat.

Mission of Mercy Clinics
The Doctors Gibbs believe the profession of dentistry has bestowed many blessings to their personal lives. Providing charitable dental services through philanthropic missions such as the Mission of Mercy and the Merci Clinic of New Bern have allowed the Drs. Gibbs to “give back” to the community and patients of Eastern NC.
The Mission of Mercy clinics are free, portable dental clinics in North Carolina that provide dentistry to the impoverished and underserved. All doctors have worked to provide dental services through these dental programs and Dr. Breck Gibbs has been a lead organizer for these events in New Bern.
